Cockatoo Island's historic houses and apartments are the perfect location for a Sydney getaway. Perched on the Eastern cliff-top of the island, the houses and apartments have luxurious rooms fitted out with modern conveniences, are surrounded by heritage gardens and boast stunning views of the harbour.
New Accomodation
The refurbishment of Building 23 on Cockatoo Island is nearing completion. The building consists of three new properties with spectacular harbour bridge views, all available for holiday stays from 22 October 2010
Upstairs, Houses 23A and 23B each contain two bedrooms, which sleep up to four people. Large entertaining balconies face East, with incredible views to Sydney Harbour and beyond. These houses interconnect and can each sleep up to four people.
Downstairs, Apartment 23C is a one bedroom apartment, which sleeps up to two people and is surrounded by a landscaped garden. Bookings are now open from 22 October 2010. For more information call (02) 8898 9774 or book now online.

Holiday Houses
Two four-bedroom duplexes are available for holiday stays. Perched on the upper plateau in a leafy part of the island, they are surrounded by heritage gardens, have beautifully restored rooms and views of the harbour. These charming Federation houses were once home to Cockatoo Island's medical officer and engineering manager when the island was a busy shipyard.

- Each house sleeps up to ten people (three king beds which can be split into singles, one queen bed and one sofa bed)

- Three flat screen TVs, CD player, two DVD players, iPod dock alarm clocks and board games
- Self-contained kitchen including oven, stove, microwave, refrigerator/freezer, dishwasher, toaster, cooking utensils, crockery, cutlery and glassware
- Each house has one large bathroom plus two toilets

Holiday Houses and Apartments Terms and Conditions
Fire Station Studio
A four person studio is available in the refurbished Fire Station (Building 164) adjacent to the Muster Station Visitor Centre. The studio includes a sleeping alcove with queen bed plus sofa bed. With modern furniture, fully equipped kitchen and large entertaining balcony, it is a great option for a quick get away or as a base to explore Sydney.

New Year's Eve 2010
The New Year's ballot for houses 24A and 24B has now been drawn - Congratulations Judyth! We are now accepting expressions of interest for Houses 23A and 23B and Apartment 23C. Expressions of interest close on Thursday 16 September and the draw takes place on Saturday, 18 September. Further information about renting a holiday house on New Year's Eve
