- The17th Biennale of Sydney: More than 157,000 visitors flocked to the island to see the free major visual arts event on Cockatoo Island, which ran from 12 May until 1 August 2010. Over 120 of the world's most innovative installation artworks by 56 artists were displayed across the island for the three months.
