From reported ghost sightings to spine-tingling ‘felt’ experiences, Cockatoo Island’s former convict prison and dockyard have a history of paranormal occurrences that stretches back more than a century.

As the witching hour approaches, embark on our popular Ghost Tour. Led by a knowledgeable guide, you’ll search for ghosts in historic (and, some would argue, haunted) buildings, rarely open to the public. You will hear macabre stories and hair-raising paranormal tales, including reported hauntings.

Whether you’re a sceptic or a believer, scare-proof or easily spooked, one thing’s guaranteed… our Ghost Tour is a unique way to experience the darker side of Sydney.

Book tickets

It can be hard to put a price on a spooky experience but tickets for our Ghost Tour are $47 per person.

Ghost Tour is exclusively available from 9pm to 11pm on select Saturdays nights, and is not offered as an on-demand group tour.

Psst... Want to explore the darker side of Cockatoo Island with your family but don't want to spook the kids? Check out our all-ages Dark Past Tour. Running 6:30pm to 8pm on select Saturday nights, it's the prefect blend of mystery and history. Tickets available from $16.

[Note: If you are considering booking accommodation with us and wanted to embark on a guided tour during your stay, please check tour availability first. We cannot always guarantee tours will run during your stay and on dates that have not been advertised. As tours can sell out, we recommend booking tickets at the same time as accommodation.]
